owner comment: "Offers
good performance and economy one up but it seems to suffer
a bit with two heavy pilots reducing the climb performance.
80 m/ph in high cruise, stall speed 30"
Lanseair comment:
If you are on the market for a low-cost
aircraft this could be the answer.

owner comment: "With
myself at 170 lbs, passenger at 210 lbs, and full 14 gallons
of fuel, the plane would cruise at 75-80 mph. Climb averaged
around 600 fpm"
Lanseair comment:
About same top speed as 503 but
better climb performance. If you are on the market for
a low-cost aircraft this could also be the answer.

you can afford a Rotax 912 it is a better choice".
Lanseair comment:
I have a Rotax 912S on my demo plane
and I am very happy with the performance and reliability.
The 912S would suit two heavy pilots wanting to use the
full 540kgs.

Some love it, some hate it. I visited the factory and was

quality control.

owner comment: "Climb
at 55 very uncomfortable as feet above head, has to climb
at 70/80 at 5000rpm and exceeds Vne in level flight at 6000rpm"(
from 2 NZ pilots)
Lanseair comment:
Fantastic performance, starter problems and a lack of factory
support. Very hard to find out information from the factory.
Wonder what their parts service is like. Fits on the 582
engine mount.

owner comment:
Carlos (from S/America) has a Sky with
a new BMW engine but has difficulty to find information to
make the engine mounts and wonders why he did not buy a Rotax
...
There is one BMW R100 powered machine flying in the UK, but
they have had quite a few teething problems and it is still
under development.
Lanseair comment:
The engine looks good inside the Skyranger cowling. Soon an
engine mount will be available.
